Are you a new start up? OR are you relocating your practice?
Choosing the right location for your practice can mean the difference between success and utter failure.
Believe it or not, the difference between success and failure can come down to a NUMBER.
This is the single most important number that you may ever encounter during your entire career.
Not knowing this number can SINK you! Knowing it could make you RICH!
What is the magic number? (Actually it's a RATIO.)
It's the dentist/population ratio. That is, how many dentists are there serving how many humans in any particular area?
Most dentists choose their practice location based on where they would like to live. This sounds perfectly reasonable doesn't it? Until you find out (usually after you've locked yourself into a lease) that the place you've chosen is surrounded by a boatload of other dentists!
Example: Beverly Hills, CA. Wonderful weather, lots of affluent people who can afford high quality cosmetic dentistry, great place to live and raise a family. But did you know there's one dentist for every 250 people? Let's say you do the impossible and get ALL of “your fair share.” That is, you manage to attract “your” 250 people into your practice. It takes lots of marketing and about 2 to 3 years to accomplish. In the end what do you have?
A practice with 250 patient files!
Can you afford to live in Beverly Hills depending on the income from 250 patients a year? And even that assumes that you'll have all 250 in your recall schedule.
Probably not.
New Patients, Inc. is pleased to offer you our PRACTICE LOCATOR™ service.
We can tell you how many other dentists are already operating in any area you might be considering in the US. Armed with this data you can now make a rational decision on whether you want to go ahead with your plans or look elsewhere.
Even more importantly, we can pinpoint areas that are UNDERSERVED. That is, we can find a place for your practice that has a favorable dentist/population ratio so you don't fall into the trap of trying to set up a practice where you might not succeed.
